There’s no time limit, stop whenever you want. “For what it’s worth: it’s never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be.Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.” – Lao Tzu Don’t resist them that only creates sorrow.

Time For Change.Sometimes you need a trigger to make a change – you need this last straw that will push you to action. Rehabilitation is not only the act of restoring something to its original state when it comes to vocational skills, for some vulnerable individuals, the goal has never been navigated or developed, TFC offers this opportunity. The mission is to eradicate crime and homelessness by providing client-centered services and goal-driven interventions collaboratively with the client to ultimately land employment (careers) for the individuals. For this reason, we target them in the Washington DC area (DC, MD and VA). We know that at-risk youth and previous incarcerated young adults are only the future of the chronically homeless and or incarcerated adults of the Washington DC area. This cycle de-rails the idea of career obtainment. This tends to result in certain behaviors being committed and/or conditioned to be committed again.

TFC understands that because of extenuating circumstances, which leads to stress, individuals can become vulnerable to mental instability. Vocational Rehabilitation has a therapeutic component believe it or not. However, our services are not limited to any age group. We like the idea of intervening as early as possible in their individual lives to promote change out of this cycle. We will support individuals through the process of identifying a way out early, specifically for at-risk young adults and adults vulnerable to crime and homelessness. The constant cycle of criminality in the community and not having the clinical help needed to stop the vicious cycles of repeated traumas and previous learned behaviors for survival, forces us to provide therapy while exploring careers with them to give them the extra support they are not familiar with. Innocent families are effected daily by some of these individuals committing unexplainable crimes. We know some individuals have hard lives to start out with and they are trauma informed at an early age. These numbers are truly alarming but the idea is that a number of these individuals become homeless as a result of not being able to land a career due to there criminal record, physical or mental health and or setbacks in their re-curing problematic behaviors. With 60,000 re-cycling in a year in and out of the system. We strive to find the most difficult cases to decrease the rate of incarceration in the Washington DC area, which is currently at 10,000 individuals per year. Time For Change was established in February of 2016.
